Welcome to The Bonham Line!
My name is Nikki, and this is where I try to jot down the bits and pieces of life. And life around here certainly is interesting, that’s for sure. Sometimes I’m consistent about recording it all, and other times not so much. But when I can find the time and energy, I love the process of sorting things out and getting them down in words, simple as they may be.
Here’s a little about us: My husband Nate and I are missionaries with an organization called Mission To the World (more about that here), and we live and serve in Arequipa, Peru. We’re raising a trio of wild little maniacs who provide us with lots of entertainment and make us question our sanity on a daily basis: the twins (Noah and Barrett, born in 2010) and Luís (born in 2009 in Colombia and welcomed into our family in 2013 while we were living in Bogotá). We are passionate about adoption, and we pray that the Lord will grow our family again at some point in the future. We are excited to see how it will happen the next time around!
Before we moved to South America in 2012, we called Mississippi home. Well, I still do, actually, and I try to do as much as I can to bring a little of my Mississippi roots to my family here in Peru. Now I consider both places as “home,” and I can’t imagine giving up either of them. I’m learning to love the dry, brown, mountainous desert of Arequipa as much as I love the humid, green flatlands of Mississippi.
Thanks for following along on our adventures. In the midst of missions, life below the equator, adoption, and a house-full of little boys, we are always looking forward to whatever the Lord has in store next…and it’s never boring!
