Worth the wait.

I’m going to take a little break today from sharing updates about our time in NYC to share another different, yet important update.

Back in November, I did a blog series on the topic of adoption for National Adoption Month with lots of different resources, articles, and interviews.    One of the people I interviewed was Megan, one of my college roommates, who was in the waiting stage of domestic infant adoption.    Her post was titled “Waiting Gracefully” and focused on one of the many hard parts of adoption…when the paperwork is finished, and all you have left to do is sit and wait.  And wait.  And wait some more.   (click to read part 1 and part 2 of her interview)

Her wait is over.

A few days ago, Megan and Russ welcomed little Millie Janalee Johnson into her new Forever Family.

I’ll point you to their family blog for the details, but I couldn’t help but mention the update here since so many of you prayed for her.  It’s a beautiful thing to watch God grow families from scratch, no matter how he chooses to do it!  I am thankful for this new little life and my friendship with her beautiful mama.   Congratulations, Megan and Russ!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
