Yesterday we went back to the specialist’s office for blood scans and distress tests. The specialist is leaving town over the weekend and will be out all next week, so he wanted to make sure he saw me right before he left, just in case….which is why I saw him twice in one week.
The appointment went really well – the boys’ blood showed that it was still clean, and they both did great on their distress tests… although we caught Noah during naptime again, which meant that we had to try to wake him up before he would “perform” for us. Barrett seems to pretty much always be awake and ready to jump around (: It never ceases to amaze me how different these boys are already!
I will go back to my regular OB twice next week since the specialist is out of town. She can’t do the blood scans, so we won’t be able to have those done again until the following Monday, June 7. Hopefully I’ll hold up that long!! So next week, my appointments will consists mostly of monitoring, distress tests, and checking for labor signs. I’ll hit 34 weeks on Wednesday, which is the point at which alot of twins are born for some reason, so I’m going to have to be alot more careful about paying attention to labor signs. The only problem is that I have no clue what I’m looking for!
So that’s my game plan until the specialist gets back….. don’t have babies. Let’s see if I can handle the job (:
