A Day for Celebrating

We went to the memorial service for Linda this afternoon.  The service was absolutely beautiful.  It celebrated her life, but it mostly celebrated the merciful and loving God who saved her and took her home to Him.

I was thinking throughout the service how much of an impact this woman had on the people around her.  She isn’t even from Mississippi and has never lived here.  Yet there was a memorial service in her honor today where many people gathered to celebrate her life.  If this is only a place where she visited occasionally, imagine what the funeral service in her hometown of Dyersburg, TN is going to be like.

What a testimony that even the places you merely visit see Christ enough in your life that they celebrate Him when you’re gone.

  1. How did you know Linda? And what’s her last name? I have a friend from Dyersburg who may know her.
