Last night Nate and I went to see The DaVinci Code. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Of course, it varied from the book in lots of ways, but that book was pretty complicated and I can see why it would be difficult to turn it into a movie without making some significant changes. In all, I thought they did pretty well – I didn’t necessarily like Tom Hanks in the role of Robert Langdon, but that’s okay. The girl playing Sophie Neveu did well. I still don’t really understand why this book/movie has caused so much of a shake-up in the media, though. I guess everyone loves a good conspiracy, especially when it has to do with religion or politics….
I’d still recommend reading the book if you’re interested in the story. The movie doesnt quite do it justice. Still good, though.
